Help Cats Find Their Way Home

There are times when we can see a stray cat wandering round the neighborhood and climbing around the cars. Frequently these will really infuriate us - but what comes about when one of those cats has a collar? This is a sign they have lost their way and someone around may be in search of them. That means that you have to find the better way to bring them back to the worried owner.

First thing that you will need to do is bring them into your house or at least into the garage or enclosed porch. You want to make sure that they do not bite or scratch you. Who understands how long they've been lost and what form of problems they could have contracted.

Provide them a bit of food and water so that they will be well fed. This will also make them feel better about you taking them into your house or just getting anywhere next to them. Just ensure not to provide them cat nip of any sort. It's possible on their behalf to go crazy on something akin to this.

Next you must set up simple signs about your neighborhood and the city you live in. Put up a picture of the cat plus your phone number. Tell them you are looking for the owner - but don’t put your address on it. That is never a secure thing for you to do. Try to look on the collar to make sure that there is no number or address on it.

A lost or found cat is not always an easy thing to return. If no one calls up after a number of weeks you can keep the cat. If this is not an option than provides it to the humane society or the pound.
